The First Luoma Lake International Sand Sculpture Festival

  Under the theme of “Map of the Thousand-Mile Canal”, it showcases the history, culture and folk customs of 20 cities in six provinces along the canal. The white sand is used to draw a map of the thousand-mile canal, which presents the cultural tradition and grand beauty of the Grand Canal (listed in World Heritage), as well as the history and culture of Suqian, the achievements of urban development of Suqian, the characteristics of China’s wine capital, and the customs along the canal. With sound, light and electricity technologies, the festival enhances the interactive experience of tourists, organizes various activities in the Green Trade Fair, and comprehensively introduces the economic and social development of Suqian.

The Second Luoma Lake International Sand Sculpture Festival

  Under the theme of the “Fragrance of the Silk Road”, it highlights the sea and land silk roads, publicizes the “Belt and Road” Initiative and displays the histories, cultures and customs of countries along silk roads. Simultaneously, by grafting the stories of Journey to the West onto the ancient Silk Road, the festival allows tourists to understand the unique charm of economic and cultural exchanges between China and the West. One hundred sand sculptures stand on the soft beach, forming a beautiful landscape.


The Third Luoma Lake International Sand Sculpture Festival

  The year of 2021 marked the centenary of the Communist Party of China. Under the theme of “Glories in the 100-Year Journey”, the Third Luoma Lake International Sand Sculpture Festival creates 100 sand sculptures in different shapes. According to time sequence, the festival comprehensively demonstrates the development achievements of the Party and the country from multiple perspectives, and shows the glorious history of the Party in the past century. Every exquisite sand sculpture accords with the theme of education in the Party spirit, and epitomizes the glories of Suqian.


The Fourth Luoma Lake International Sand Sculpture Festival

  Under the theme of “Animation Carnival”, the festival exhibits 100 animation sand sculptures of different sizes, fantastically combines Chinese traditional myths and world classic animations, and presents people a visual feast. When you come to Luoma Lake Sand Beach Park, you can walk through the sand sculptures and take photos, stepping into a fairy tale.
